The Enemy Within
Location: Near Eagle Lake, ME. Runs-with-Spirits gains the assistance of junior tribe members and bitter kin. They soon get a feel for the darkness surrounding their leader. The taint is traced to an abandoned factory; they begin their exploration.

Location: Portland, ME. The young pair arrive in Portland, beckoned by an old friend. However, she cannot be found. The dark demon they do find leads them to a building full of the dead.

Location: Southern France. Dina struggles to find the secret of the dig exploring the ruins discovered by Sara. Sara, meanwhile, attempts to unlock the secrets of the book she found with the strange corpse. Both have to deal with noisy reporters and attempted break-ins.

The Enemy Within
Location: Near Eagle Lake, ME. The abandoned factory the group found reeks of taint. False sounds and tricks of light cower the steadfast group. Too soon, they find the epicenter of the taint---a room teeming with corruption and defilement. Cleansing the room does not solve the greater problem, however. The creators of the taint are still at large.

Location: Portland, ME. Damon and Ivy attempt to discover the secret behind the dead at Technogenesis Enterprises. However, they draw attention and are "asked" to leave. In the ensuring struggle, Damon rips open a hole to the nether storms of the Underworld, bringing down chaos indiscriminately. After escaping, Damon wonders who is the greater monster: the dead of Technogenesis or himself.

Location: Portland, ME. After resting, the young mages are determined to find the connections between their friend Cassandra and the dead walking in Portland. Several coffees and a possessed laptop later, they discover a web of connections somehow relating to their purpose in Portland. To get a better idea why they are here, Damon and Ivy again start looking for their friend. But the trail is cold.

Location: Southern France. Dina discovers thieves in the compound; however, distrust places her under suspicion as well. Dina and Sara come to an understanding about each other, but are no closer to finding the secrets of the dig---or their enemies.

The Enemy Within
Location: Near Eagle Lake, ME. After a feast of lobster, the group descended on Eagle Lake's Blockbuster Videos. The clerk seemed strangely uncooperative to helping them, but only Logan noticed the hurried conversation between the clerk and her friend about their evidence. Just as Runs detected some on the taint on the "friend", she yelled for help.

Location: Portland, ME. After failing to locate Cassandra, the youths begin to question their assumptions. They decide to check the addressed on the strange list to find the connection. In the morgue, Damon contacts and offers to find missing bodies for the dead while Ivy begins to experience the full price of Damon's power.

Location: Southern France. After asking about Dina, Sara is approached by a strange old gentleman who proports to know something about the history of the abbey. He spins a tale about Nazi occult explorers who met their end by the hand of a "Twisted Monk". Sara appears unsure whether to believe this story.

The Enemy Within
Location: Near Eagle Lake, ME. Avoiding a police confrontation, the pack lets the girl go. Their lead gone and frustrated, George drives them out of town, ready to relax at home. However, Runs believes that the originators of the taint will return to the scene of the crime, and George reluctantly agrees to drive them. As they are exploring, Logan meets a gun barrel-to-snout.

Location: Portland, ME. The couple return home and discuss their plan. Damon contacts creatures of the city on the Other Side while Ivy ponders the meaning of fear.

Location: Southern France. Dina attempts to find peace in her old faith, but no signs are given. Shaken and a bit paranoid, she finds suspicion in everything from an old man who cannot understand her to Sara. Sara returns to studying the book.
Fire, Gifts and Suspicions (8/2/2000)

Location: Near Eagle Lake, ME. Logan is blasted halfway across the from a shotgun wielding, tainted freak seemingly immune to pain and broken necks. After calling the Earth Spirit and ripping through the freak's arm, Run dispatches the villain.

Location: Portland, ME. Nightmares of Ivy and their future haunt Damon. His uncle stops by for a surprise visit, placing the couple in discomfort. While tending to the family, Ivy discovers the Portland Health warehouse where the dead bodies are being shipped to. Damon receives a gift from home: his personal butler.

Location: Southern France. Paranoia fills Dina's dealings with workers and students and she tries to discover what is really beneath the surface of the abbey. She discovers that one student is dallying on the side, and the object of that affair may or may not have occult connections. Meanwhile, Sara determines the book is a journal of sorts detailing the happenings of the corpse's life. With the surprising help of Mr. Szyminiski, she determines a few clues to the location of the corpse's first home.

The Enemy Within
Location: Near Eagle Lake, ME. The inhuman thing, one Gary Todd according to a license found on the body, is dead. After leaving Logan to rest, the group attempts to find where the thing-in-a-boy's body came from. It appears to be a normal home. But there is taint somewhere inside.

Location: Portland, ME. Taking Damon to the Portland Health Warehouse, Ivy shows him the evidence she found. After some stealthy work, the manage to find out that the bodies are being sent to another warehouse, this one owned by Technogenesis. The new warehouse is heavily guarded. But why?

Location: Southern France. Sara continues to work at the book, discovering more about its author. The journal speaks of madness and strange rituals with more details perhaps in the yet-to-be-opened crypt. Dina falls victim to a soccer riot and tries to points suspicion at William.

Location: Portland, ME. Damon and Ivy go to the last address on the list; the residence of one Francis Routterage. The neighborhood is not great, but the spirit world vibrates there. Soon they discover why; a person living at the address is strong in the way of the Other World. Mistrust and miscommunication start a brawl; who will win?

Location: Southern France. Sara continues to work fastidiously at the translation, knowing the new crypt will be open tomorrow. Dina spies on William and his beau and tries to find out who sold the pictures. Little is resolved.
Unexpected Endings (8/24/2000)
The Enemy Within
Location: Near Eagle Lake, ME. The Wolfie gang search high and low for more clues for the taint, but only faint traces are found. A dream of darkness haunts Runs. But something is aware of them for the factory where the ritual was performed has been burnt to the ground.

Location: Portland, ME. A young girl mauls an old woman out of a misunderstanding. Damon has a civil conversation with a powerful servant of corruption, but cannot bend it to his will. This irks the boy to no end.

Location: Southern France. The preparations begin for the dig apace. Sara learns more of the twisted past of the book, but finds it missing in the morn. So too is Mr. Szyminski with a parting warning about the dig. Even the heart of the corpse is missing. But all of this is overshadowed by the terrible things unleashed with the digging machines break through to the crypt.

The Enemy Within
Location: Near Eagle Lake, ME. The factory is gone, burned to the ground by unknown means. Running out of leads, the pack decides to stalk their last clue: the bar linked by the matchbook at the factory. A sleazy place, it soon erupts into gunfire. Out spills two unknown kidnapers of the clerk from Blockbuster. In the midst of freeing her, a black-tentacled horror emerges to throw more chaos into the scene. Then, the last gunman, in terror from the battle he cannot win, summons a darkness of his own.

Location: Portland, ME. Damon determines that Routterage does not seem to know much more than they do about the storms of the dead. She has been touched by her summoning of the great black spirit, and warns Damon of the same. A bit confused by the entire ordeal, the pair return home to think.

Location: Southern France. Day is night and the spirits of the dead haunt southern France. Released by accident, the protectors of the crypt crash upon the expedition, driving them mad and killing others. Sara tries to make sense of the chaos around her while Dina, noticing the suspicious girl has entered the crypt unharmed, tries to determine her next move. Suddenly a scream... and silence.

Location: Near Eagle Lake, ME. A sense-dulling darkness surrounding them, the pack tries to fight off chaos creatures and kidnapers. The later escapes despite Georges' heroic efforts. The former is finally beaten off, but not before scaring those that fight it. All clues, gone. Is the taint destroyed? Are any questions answered?

Location: Portland, ME. The pair return to the Technogenesis warehouse, hoping to find more clues. Activity is present, perhaps suggesting something. But a greater threat looms: a mark of corruption upon Ivy's soul, one that even Damon cannot heal.

Location: Southern France. The dead and mad litter the dig site. The spirit madness has broken, but the uneven silence following is no comfort. Dina and Sara known the answers are in the crypt, but all they find are a one-armed skeleton, dust, and a woman clutching a very old book.

Location: Near Eagle Lake, ME. Battered and bruised, the hunters retreated to take stock of the situation. Demeter and Runs find clues to the identities of the summoners, and set about finding more information at one of the victim's apartment. There they find a crying girl not too happy to see them.

Location: Portland, ME. The pair return to Ms. Routterage's to attempt to display the spiritual cancer. However, something goes horribly wrong, brining the mark of the taint to the surface.

Location: Southern France. Dina, pushed to the edge by the events, is driven to murder the woman with the book. The ferocity of the attack forces Sara to questions their acquaintance.

Location: Near Eagle Lake, ME. Julia, the clerk at Blockbuster, haltingly reveals the depraved deeds her friends performed because of the twisted paper. She has seen too much, and her mind is the worse because of it. Runs and Demeter leave her alone, searching preparing to search for clue at the source of the ritual: a dead man's mansion.

Location: Portland, ME. Still staggering from the failure to cleans Ivy, the pair are set upon thugs from Technogenesis bent on assailing Routterage. The two repay their debt to her by beating the bums back.

Location: Near Eagle Lake, ME. Run's returns the pack to the caern, to rest and prepare for their investigation of the dead man's manse. However, they find the holy place in ruin after an attack by a corrupted guardian---and clues link the attack to Run's activities.

Location: Portland, ME. Convinced that Technogenesis is summoning the Dead into this side of the Living, Damon and Ivy head to the warehouse to stop them. Damon attempts to gain the aide of a powerful spirit but is rebuked as being unready. To prove himself, they storm the compound... mostly alone.

Location: Near Eagle Lake, ME. Runs is torn between defending the caern and unlocking the mysteries of the ritual. A summoning is performed and the troops rallied, but mistrust and anger give the affair a bitter taste.

Location: Portland, ME. Hiding from the warehouse inhabitants, Damon and Ivy attempt to get to the bottom of the Dead business. They some sort of powerful summoning in progress. They have one goal---to stop it.

Location: Southern France. Sara tries to diffuse the situation with Dina while keeping the new found text safe. However, a surprise awaits them at the surface: the French police!

Location: Near Eagle Lake, ME. The manse of Ezra Goldstein: a dark abode filled with the unsettling and confusion. Runs and company discover that what they are tracking is beyond their normal experiences---and that is not comforting.

Location: Portland, ME. Ivy and Damon struggle to stop the summoning at Technogenesis. Ivy fights the good fight on foot, striking harder than she means. Damon works on the spiritual level, battling for control of the weaving. But the power he wields and the cries of the dead cloud his thoughts, and he shatters the barriers between worlds.

Location: Near Eagle Lake, ME. Runs enters the attic office in Ezra's mansion. It is the heart of the places darkness, filled with the rotting sent of old, terrible magics. In a strange skull, Run's has visions of the past echoing the present: corrupted caerns, twisted enemies, and doomed battles against unspoken evils.

Location: Portland, ME. The shroud between worlds torn, the chaos of the Dead run rampant. A storm of the shadowy Dead rains the world's detritus while Damon and Ivy try to make sense of the chaos. Damon is forced to fight his nightmares while a quickly fading Ivy is haunted by demons of her own creation. When they finally return to the real world, all is not safe.

Location: Southern France. The police arrest and detain the mentally scarred women; the cops are not very helpful to the suspected mass murderers. Sara's eyes are opened the true side of Dina.

Location: Near Eagle Lake, ME. Runs awakens from his vision to find himself at the caern three days after his visit to the mansion. The caern has been rededicated without him, and the other Garou shun him. It soon become apparent why: the elder ostracize him in order to protect themselves. Runs, the scapegoat, must not return until he has found and destroyed this enemy he has supposedly stirred.

Location: Portland, ME. The machinery of madness destroyed, Damon returns to the Dead of Portland's morgue to gather them into a force to take down Technogenesis once and for all. Damon is confident in his abilities to take down this stain on the pattern; but Ivy can see the darkness is touching him too.

Location: Portland, ME. Damon courts a powerful spirit to join his cause. It seems agreeable, but somehow, it is unclear who is using whom.

Location: Southern France. Sara receives a visit from Mr. Szyminski, demanding to know what happened to the book. He claims he is a protector of secrets, but Sara will have none of his old-world ideology. Both leave unsatistified with the meeting.

Location: Portland, ME. As the duo prepare to finish Technogenesis, a strange phone call from Roger summons them both. There, they find the head of Technogenesis ready and eager to kill them. The battle is close, but the evil is vanquished. Or at least this face of evil.

Location: Southern France. After awaking from a disturbing dream, Sara finds an death walking the halls of the jail. Narrowly avoiding death herself, she tracks the perpetrators to a plane with the marks of Technogenesis. Frustrated but free, Sara begins to put a plan into action.
