"Well, the mercenary guard, from what I was able to uncover, was rather infamous. He was involved in a lot of inquisition activities, and in supernatural dealings. Basically, he is an odd sort to send if this was just a routine replacement of the priest. However, the Monk seems to have quite a few ledgends about him with a strong supernatural content. I think this might be a connection. However, I can't find out much about this mercenary, not even his name. I was hoping you might be able to learn more about him and what he was involved in. Also perhaps what motivated the church to send him on this particular mission.

She is first going to start doing some research on the name she has yet to find. She'd going to search for the name Krzysztof in the archives cotemporaneous with what Antonio found on the Monk, i.e. a couple of centuries earlier (since she didn't find him in the fifteenth century). She's also going to have George arrange her travel plans to that Austrian monastery where Mateusz was called away from. I'm guessing we can just travel by interrail, but we should arrange for my access.
